Tree Removal:

We offer full removal of trees and the resulting debris, including stump grinding. We're also flexible: If you'd like to keep logs for firewood, we're glad to make that happen. If you'd like chips to use around your property, we can pile them accordingly. If you'd like a spar that you can have carved at a later time, great (this is perhaps our favorite!). If you want to keep a stump as a bird feeder stand or for other wildlife, that’s cool too.

Removals often offer us the chance to engage in technical rigging. We're thoughtful about this process and enjoy putting knowledge, physics, tools, and teamwork into practice for a safe and efficient removal.

What does it cost to have a tree removed? The short answer is: cost varies. Each tree is unique. Each removal is unique. Various factors contribute to putting a price on removal. Many removals are complex; from trees overhanging structures, to unstable wood due to illness or infestation, to inaccessibility of the site, to the size of the tree, and much more. While we like the challenge (have we mentioned that we love to climb trees and technical rigging is really our favorite thing?), risks can be high and can impact cost. Safety is a priority for our family, and for your property.

We believe the best way to determine the cost for tree removal is to get our eyes on it, and to have a conversation with you about expectations, possibilities, and yes, price. Visiting the site, understanding what will be needed, helps ensure a smooth and safe removal. Quotes and estimates are free; we like to connect with you and evaluate the anticipated work in-person whenever possible. We’re local to the Finger Lakes Region, Victor, Farmington, Canandaigua, Pittsford, Fairport, Brighton, and nearby towns, plus Rochester, NY.

From the Climber’s Point of View.

Most of us watch removals, trims, cabling, and pruning from the ground. This short vid gives us an idea of what things are like from the climber’s perspective. (We can’t decide if 0:48 to 0:59 or 1:02 to 1:05 is our favorite clip…) The dynamic challenge (and thrill!) is clear. The only thing missing is the vital ground crew who run ropes and clean up brush, logs, and sawdust. While they maybe be offscreen, they are always there.
